Part-Time Fixed Term Contract (10 Weeks, with potential for extension)
Position: Conversational Spanish for Travellers Facilitator (part-time contract position)
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Rate of Pay: $20.00/hr
This position will deliver the Lloydminster Learning Council Association’s Conversational Spanish for Travellers program. Conversational Spanish for Travellers is a 120 minute, 10 week class that runs 2-3 times per year. It is a course that offers learners the opportunity to gain basic communication and vocabulary for travel and everyday situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver programs that will make a lasting impression on learners
- Attend training opportunities/meetings/presentations
- Refer learners to community resources and supports
- Keep records and complete progress reports (challenges, solutions, successes)
- Set-up and tidy the facility in which the program was held
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- Fluent in Spanish
- Valid First Aid Certificate strongly recommended
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to vehicle
- Teaching Experience is an asset
- Post-Secondary training in Education is an asset
- Ability to tailor program to the needs of the learners
- Able to create a safe, welcoming and warm environment for learners
