Volunteers Needed
If you need volunteer hours for work, or just want to meet new people and spend time helping our community, we are looking for adult volunteers.
- English Reading & Writing Tutors. Work with individuals or small groups to improve reading and writing skills.
Adult Literacy Skills tutor role description: No experience needed, just patience and a desire to help someone improve their life in a meaningful way! Minimum of 10 hours needed, but schedule is flexible.
- English Language Conversation Tutor. Work with individuals or small groups to improve conversation skills. No prep needed. Minimum of 10 hours are provided for each learner.
English Language Class Volunteers role description : No experience necessary, just patience and a desire to help newcomers feel welcome. Classes run for 10 weeks (starting in September and January), Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 at Lakeland College.
