A fun, family activity while sneaking in learning!!
This years family bannock making has a twist…
Come spend a fun morning making bannock over the fire! Using hotdog sticks to cook the bannock, learn numeracy and listening skills with your kids, while also learning about Indigenous culture. Each family will work together to make bannock and roast it over the fire, with guidance from our Indigenous workshop facilitator, Char.
Free copies of Metis Like Me, by Tasha Hilderman and Awasis and the World Famous Bannock, by Dallas Hunt & Amanda Strong for all families who register.
Date: September 27, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Cost: FREE
Once registration is received your place is confirmed and you will be given the exact location. Please register everyone attending so we can ensure we have enough supplies. If you have hotdog sticks, please bring them! We will have a few to use, but it will be quicker if those who have them are able to bring theirs.
Program is now full. Thank you to all who registered. We hope to offer this program again!
